First Day Covers
I have been collecting first day covers since the 1990s. The interest has always been there, but due to family circumstances, I had my collections resting for some years. About 10 years ago, the situation has changed and I activated my collections again. About 5-6 years ago, I wanted to refine my collections and focused on everything related to Svenolov Ehrén, the highest Swedish postmasters' own FDCs, and everything within Aland and Aland Finnish FDCs.
What has driven me to collect FDCs? Mostly it's that I find there's something special about the letters, especially those with first day cancellations and a drawing next to the stamp on the back (vignette).

I have almost a complete ordinary collection but missing some gutterpair and some 4-block. But I have several vignettes beyond Aland Post standard vignettes. I have also used Facits numbers of the stamps but but can't show it until Facit has approved it.
Har lyckats få tag på Egon Sjöbergs katalog för Åländska FDC. Har fått ok att använda katalogens numrering vilket har underlättat dokumentation av samlingens vinjetter. Har jag någon vinjett som inte finns i katalogen så är den numrerad med 9xx.
Here I collect Finnish FDC connected to Aland. This means following Finnish publications.

but it can also mean other finnish publications but then with an Aland cancelations.
Under a period Frimärkshuset i Stockholm released a First Day Albumpage with vignette to every swedish publication of new stamps. If you are interested in buying this collection, don't hesite to contact me.
